The Earth Below

Some paintings arrive with a clear intention. Others reveal themselves only after you give them time and space to speak.

The Earth Below emerged this way. What began as a landscape slowly clarified into something much larger—a view of the earth seen from afar, as if from the stillness of space. When you step back, the familiar becomes newly strange, and the vastness of our world is held in a quiet, contemplative frame.

There is a sense of distance here, but not detachment. Instead, the painting invites reflection—on perspective, on scale, and on our place within something far greater than ourselves. It is both intimate and expansive, offering the viewer a moment to pause and see the earth not as territory, but as presence.

Though small in scale, 5" x 4", this acrylic on canvas original painting carries a spaciousness that lingers, making it well suited for a personal space where reflection and quiet awareness are welcome. It is available here.

Please allow at least 3 weeks to receive your signed print. Your print will go through an extensive process between me and the printer to make sure the colors are accurate.
