Jackalope

$1,635.00Price
  • A VICTOR STEVEN ROSENBERG Limited Edition Print

One afternoon, Sue, her friend, and I went for an excursion off the beaten path in the Empire Mountains of Southern Arizona.  Sue and her friend went off doing their thing, and I took off doing my thing.  As I was walking through a small canyon between the hills, I saw a rabbit with small antlers; a ‘jackalope’, a combination of jackrabbit and an antelope.  This painting is the synergy between a jackalope and kokopelli (a mythical trickster figure in Native American lore), both symbolic of the southwest.

This original is not available.  It is 24" x 80", acrylic on board.
