NATIVE AMERICAN COLLECTION
These paintings didn’t begin as a study of a culture.
They came as a response to something deeper—something I’ve felt for a long time but didn’t fully understand at first.
Living in the Southwest, you become aware of a presence that’s still here. Not just in the land, but in the people, the history, and the way of seeing the world that hasn’t disappeared.
I don’t try to explain it in these paintings. I try to listen to it.
Each figure carries something of that—strength, endurance, and a quiet authority that doesn’t need to announce itself.
If one of these speaks to you,
take a little time with it.
Tribal Elder
This piece came through with a kind of certainty.
Not planned—just present. There’s a steadiness in the figure, something watchful. The form suggests a way of seeing that goes beyond what’s immediately visible.
