The Fluidity of Grace Between Land and Sky
This is one of those rare paintings that happened all at once. I sat down with a blank 80-by-36 surface, started painting, and by the time I looked up, it was done. Just like that. I never touched it again. Painting is a lot like fishing—sometimes you wait all day for a nibble, and other times you cast your line and come back with something unexpected. This was one of those good days.
I knew I was painting land and sky—maybe water too—but mostly, I was chasing that feeling of movement between them. The way creation shifts and blends, where sky becomes land, land reflects the sky, and water runs right through it all. Nothing in nature is static; everything is part of an ever-changing dance. The title came later, as they always do.
