The Carpenter

The Carpenter

Resting one afternoon, I fell into that place between the worlds.  And in that visionary state of being, Yeshua (Jesus) and I were face to face until I sat upright with my eyes wide open knowing that I had just seen my Redeemer face to face.

Tonight, April 22, is the first night of Passover which commemorates the Passover before most of the Jews escaped slavery in Egypt. Yahweh called for a series of curses on Pharoah because Pharoah would not let the Jewish people go.  So, Yahweh told the Jewish people to kill a lamb and paint its blood on the entrance way to their homes.  This way when the Angel of Death came, the Jewish homes were passed over and their first-born children were saved.  In the homes that did not have lambs’ blood on the entrance, the angel killed the first-born child, including Pharoah’s first born. For us New Testament believers, Passover is also associated with the last supper before Yeshua was crucified. This painting, ‘The Carpenter’, calls into question what did Yeshua really look like when He walked the earth 2000 years ago? Yeshua has been portrayed with either long flowing, blonde locks and bright blue eyes or looking like the nationality of the artist who portrayed Him. What do you think?
