Spring in the Sonoran Desert is something else. Everything that looks like it shouldn't survive out here—twisted branches, spiny cacti, dry earth—suddenly bursts into color. The most unlikely plants put on the biggest show, and for a little while, the desert feels like it's singing.

This painting is a reflection of those moments, drawn from years of walking these landscapes, watching how light and life move through them. It's not one specific place, but a feeling—of standing in the warm air, surrounded by blooms, with the sky stretching endlessly above.
