Confetti Nebula

This piece is part of my ongoing Cosmos series—a journey I’ve been on for a while now. It’s an evolution in my work, a move from more figurative paintings to a non-figurative exploration of the cosmos. Each piece starts with me, just painting, trusting the process until the painting tells me it’s complete.

Once I reach that point, I photograph it and then search the James Webb and Hubble telescopes’ images, looking for something in the universe that mirrors what I’ve created. It’s incredible how often I find images that reflect what I’ve painted, as if the cosmos and I are in sync, both capturing fragments of the same vast mystery.
